Saitek introduces the new X Rhino H. Built to the same exacting standards of Saitek's award-winning Pro Flight range, the X Rhino delivers a multitude of customizable options including all the control surface options required to achieve the exact level of performance that aspiring combat pilots demand.

In modern space sims control is becoming more complex than in traditional atmosphere-based flight simulations, with many more inputs required to achieve true control of the spacecraft. Pitch, roll, yaw, backwards, forwards, up, down, left and right all need to be accounted for. This is why the new mini analog sticks are required; providing four more axes of control.

Assignable to any in-game axis function, or programmable using the included H. Use the software to set the colour of the lighting to match the rest of your gaming rig. The X places controls perfectly under your fingers where subtle distinctions in button feel and shape help you navigate the control set with ease.

Even the switches on the base of the throttle are staggered or separated so telling them apart from feel alone is possible, leaving you free to concentrate on the immersive VR experience.

During virtual flight — just like true flight — the accuracy of an aircraft's control surfaces is of paramount importance. The X Rhino's control surfaces are incredibly accurate, courtesy of a bit aileron and elevator axis, each employing hall-effect sensors. Developed from the ground up, Saitek's bit axis solution enables extremely precise flight.

A ground-breaking, adjustable stick spring system allows pilots to alter the force required to move the stick. Four springs of varying resistance are included to provide a total of five different options. Choose the spring — or no spring at all — which best accommodates your style of flying.

Using a twin-engine throttle controller is the only suitable method for manipulating a virtual twin-engine aircraft. The X Rhino boasts twin throttles — ideal for situations in which your primary engine is disabled and you're down to one — and also provides the option to adjust the friction required to move them. And if your aircraft of choice is single-engine, a handy throttle lock effectively converts the twin throttles into a single unit. Saitek's software provides the ability to completely customize all of the X Rhino's axes and buttons.

On the axis side, you can adjust deadbands and response curves to fine-tune axes to respond just like an aircraft's real-life counterparts. On the buttons and toggle side, you can assign any number of in-sim commands, such as afterburner, Frame Shift Drive, target lock and weapon group firing. The software also allows programmability for an array of mouse and keyboard commands — from basic single-key inputs to very advanced, timed, and macro commands.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts.

Cus I'll be damned if I can figure out how to even get the game to detect it, even though War Thunder is plastered all over the box the thing arrived in Thrustmaster software installed and the stick works with every other game I own, even on the Steam Link, but doesn't do a thing in War Thunder even if I select the profile for my stick.

Hands down the worst menu system I've ever seen in my life and I'm an oldskool simmer, so that says alot. Though one of the lightest tank destroyers in the game, its 90 mm gun gives it a very powerful punch, especially when using the HEATFS round, which can penetrate up to mm of armour.

Fitting the definition of a glass cannon, the M56 has virtually no armour to speak of, as the majority of the tank comprises structural steel not meant to protect the crew and has a weak armour modifier x0. This description also applies to the only armour plate found on the entire tank, the gun shield, as the 5 mm thick plate with 12 mm of bullet-proof glass will only be able to stop rifle-calibre bullets from mid to long ranges. The crew consists of only 3 members: a driver on the left side of the gun breech, the gunner on the right side of the gun breech, and the commander sitting rather casually behind the driver.

If the tank is spotted and takes fire, expect the commander to be the first crew member down, since he is the most exposed among the three, sitting far away and above the gun shield. This will also impact your reload rate. Overall, survivability is very low and it is advised to take precautions not to take any fire from the opposition, making use of terrain and mobility when the battle gets heated.

Where the M56 lacks in armour, it easily makes up for in mobility. Its light weight and decently powered engine gives it a great power-to-weight ratio that lets it propel to top speed easily, even when stock.

You'll want to use this to gain access to favourable positions at the beginning of each match. The 90mm M54 is the M41 gun available the M48A1 but equipped with a recoil system. Which is why they have the same available ammunition choice.

Its accuracy drop is noticeable as soon as m distance and a handicap over m unless you fire at huge targets Ferdinand, Jadgtiger, Tiger II, etc. The rotation speed of the gun is very slow compared to other tanks at the same rank or battle rating who can aim their gun in average 2 to 3 times faster than you do.

Which means your targeting process will be long if you aim to be accurate. Also, any movement of your hull will make you restart your targeting process from 0, which limits greatly your possibility to overextend, even after a successful first disabling shot.

Additionally to having a limited gun rotation on the horizontal axis, that displacement is asymmetrical due to the driver position limiting movement to the right side.

This can make the tracking of a target difficult as the gun quickly reaches a stop. You should take that constraint into account when positioning your hull at a firing spot.

Your recoil also is a handicapping feature: your hull being very light, it can not absorb much of the recoil power even with the huge damping cylinders on the gun. Every shot taken throws your gun off target after firing, forcing to restart your targeting process or even reposition your hull. Using the "sight control distance" feature can help mitigate that aspect but any movement of the mouse during the recoil phase will nullify the sight setting.

But, it is very lacking in post-penetration damage. Though they are free to use, players may find the lack of post-penetration damage unfavourable, especially for a glass cannon who can't risk staying exposed for very long trying to pick apart an armoured foe. Like any other APHE, they possess good penetration at close to mid range with exceptional post-penetration damage for dealing with moderately armoured targets like many of the medium tanks you'll encounter at your battle rating.

As soon as you unlock these, start carrying these as your standard round against most tanks while carrying a few of the above APCR for heavier foes, at least until you unlock the HEAT-FS round. Combining the best muzzle velocity, the greatest penetration, especially at long range, and decent post-penetration damage makes this the superior round to use in any mid-to-long range engagement.

At close range or in ambush situations, with this shell being your loaded round, you will most likely cripple any target you may encounter. If you are reading this message, Please click this link to reload this page.

Use this guide to find the best flight stick for your interests and budget. A large advantage to any joystick is a throttle. This is a lever that can be pressed forward or pulled backward to make the vehicle you are piloting speed up or slow down.

Throttles can be either integrated on the base of the joystick itself or come as a detached control. Having a separate throttle control can be beneficial in a number of ways. With the best joystick for certain games, you may not need to use your keyboard or mouse at all! With a detached throttle, you also usually get more buttons than if you were using a mouse or a throttle on the base of a joystick. There are a variety of different setups you can have while playing your favorite game or simulator.

There is no hard and fast rule about which one is best. It is your personal choice according to which you feel most comfortable with. Button configuration and layout is very important for many games; this is especially true for flight simulators. A lot of gamers enjoy having a separate control for throttle as it offers more versatility at your fingertips. I have been messing around with my settings with these pieces, but limit it to sim battles only since using hotas for the other modes seems to be more challenging than effective.

Config can be a little awkward when dialling in your axis sensitivity, and be careful when first using the default config for your stick as you will get some hard-to-find phantom bindings. If you do end up going down that path also bind a button to control mode cycle so that you can always set it to Auto if things get messy. Enjoy the flying! Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 20 Jan, pm.
